They have invested a lot of money and now want to get it back through natural resource extraction.
Ukraine is very rich in oil, gas, titanium, coal and lithium deposits have been discovered. It is estimated that they rank third in the world right after Australia and Chile.

Astonishing as it may sound there are adults who really believe that hopes and dreams are the same as hard facts and cold math.

You can even find such people on trading forums but perhaps that's not so surprising as trading has always attracted dreaming gamblers looking for the 'holy grail'. Such people never seem to get real and just fade away after crashed accounts shake them out of the delusion.

It doesn't take much research to discover success in trading comes from creating a rules based system that testing over time proves to have a positive expectancy, and then having the self discipline to stick to it.

Up until yesterday the Ukrainians were losing over a thousand troops a day since starting their counteroffensive, even CNN says so. Yesterday Russia estimates 1,250 Ukrainian dead, not unreasonable considering the photo proof of around 100 armoured vehicles destroyed.

Importantly, most of the vehicles never got close to the frontline, they were caught in column travelling to the battle front. With no air cover they were picked off by helicopter, drones and artillery.

So 6 days into the counteroffensive Ukraine has lost around 8,000 out of 50,000. And the usual ratio is 3 wounded to 1 killed meaning half the counteroffensive force is already gone including their best troops and what's left of the army are completely inadequate army to defend the country.

No wonder Zelensky looks like Hitler in his bunker and has brought out his double, just in case.





Overnight there was very little action, the Ukrainians simply don't have the forces in place.
