You came across thousands and thousands of indicators and systems by now. And you rate one or a couple almost every day.
How do you, in general, go about testing and determining if a indicator is performing well for ones purpose? Is it just the eye test and experience?

And also, a nice way to test the system. Easy and it make sense. While aligning yourself with the higher TF direction, beatles system will try to keep you in on the right side of the direction, almost also acting as a timing tool.

apart from testing and past performance as soon u attach an indicator on chart an eye test also work very well most of time when we attach moving averages some of them just align and slope very close to price while others just go up down

Yes, you are wright. I for example, struggle with the subwindow indicators but that has more to do with my eyes :)
That's why I like Mr.Tools RSI version, which he has published a few days ago. On chart, you see if the price went directly your way or not with those SnR lines.
I can't code but I'm learning how to change and add bits and pieces like that to help with the visual backtest.
