500 new tanks and 900 artillery systems now being deployed in the new offensive, Ukraine have near nothing to counter this with, they will have to take troops and equipment away from the current battle fronts where they are already being pushed back.

More on the NATO troops question, Italian newspaper reports that at the July NATO summit meeting it will be announced that the whole of 'project Ukraine' will be handed over to the NATO office (US taking a step back) and they will release a written statement which explicitly rules out sending NATO troops to Ukraine.

Ukr say now new Rus army on Sumy border, presumably info coming from US satellites. There was known to be another 200,000 Russian troops somewhere and there are only 50,000 in the new Kharkov front.

I suspect that Russia don't want to see the city of Kharkov destroyed like Bahkmut was and rather want to stretch out the Ukr forces to the point of collapse by opening additional fronts with a slow push forward on all of them.

The battlefront has already grown from 600 miles to nearly double that just as Ukr face a major manpower shortage. Ukr politicians again talk of need for TOTAL mobilisation.
