i did enter that setup, just on mt5.
and you were waiting for some other confirmation? Was maybe waiting for the candle to close above the "swing high" to confirm new trend? Or did you enter on my drawn line in the screenshot?
no, just 2nd dot and oscillator matching the pullback.

I try to keep it simple. I enter a trade when a bullish or bearish candle closes after a grey one, ideally in confluence with either:

1. A bounce off one of the EMAs (55, 100, or 200).
2. A bounce off a Fair Value Gap (FVG).

You could definitely check higher timeframes, nothing wrong with that. Personally, I only have my H1 charts open for the indices (US500 or NASDAQ) and XAUUSD, and I base my trading decisions purely on those.

I try to avoid looking at too many charts because I used to struggle with analysis paralysis. Too many conflicting signals would often make me second-guess myself and end up not taking trades at all.

I usually enter a trade as soon as my conditions are met, placing my stop loss just below or above the most recent swing low or high, and targeting the opposing liquidity for my take profit. This typically gives me a risk-to-reward ratio of around 1:5, sometimes even higher.

I try not to overthink things. The H1 timeframe has relatively little market noise, so I've found that trades tend to work out quite well when trading in the direction of the trend.
