“Our place should have been there [in eastern Ukraine], not here in someone else’s land,” Pavlo said. “We don’t need these Kursk forests, in which we left so many comrades.”
And despite weeks of reports suggesting that as many as 10,000 North Korean troops have been sent to Kursk to join the Russian counter-offensive, the soldiers we’ve been in contact have yet to encounter them.
“I haven’t seen or heard anything about Koreans, alive or dead,” Vadym responded when we asked about the reports.
The Ukrainian military has released recordings which it says are intercepts of North Korean radio communications.
Soldiers said they had been told to capture at least one North Korean prisoner, preferably with documents.
They spoke of rewards - drones or extra leave - being offered to anyone who successfully captures a North Korean soldier.
“It’s very difficult to find a Korean in the dark Kursk forest,” Pavlo noted sarcastically. “Especially if he’s not here.”

Plenty of unverified talk on a Trump plan but I don't think Trump picked Kellogg because he wants to use the plan Kellogg drew up months ago but rather because Kellogg is 100% loyal to Trump and will push forward an actual Trump plan, whatever that turns out to be.
Trump is supposed to be already talking to the Russians and so must be aware of their basic stance which is from here to just carry on with the conflict and achieve all their core goals militarily.
The US side (Biden and Trump) is slowing coming to realise they don't actually have much to threaten Putin with. NATO warehouses are empty and a new congress in the US are unlikely to vote anymore huge payments to prolong the conflict. The problem is a complete lack of US (and European) public support.
Even NATO troops as a threat is lacking. At a max that would be just 100,000 poorly equipped available now, added to Ukr's 330,000, up against Russia's 700,000 fully equipped and already in Ukraine.
Same as with weapons and equipment production, building up a large new army to match the current Russian army will take NATO at least several years, and same as with weapons and equipment, they haven't even started because they never had any intention of getting their hands dirty.
Ukraine will not last several years.
Ukr and the west are fast running out of options and if the final say continues to be left up to Zelensky then Ukr will be left with nothing, or put another way, nothing will be left of Ukr.
If only he'd stuck to playing the piano with his penis the world today (including Ukr) would be a much better place.
