What about Minuteman III which is relatively old but
can reach speed Mach 23:

I have read expert statements that the cost of the last missile
launched by the Kremlin was about 50 million USD,
and that it was one of two existing prototypes of this missile.
The attack was probably without a payload, so the force of the explosion
resulted from the kinetic energy of the missile itself.
The visual, psychological and propaganda impression was certainly strong.
The Kremlin surely wants to strongly indicate that it considers
Ukraine to be its area of influence and that others should leave it alone.
At this point, there is rather no reason to worry seriously
about a real outbreak of global nuclear war.
What will the US do about this situation? They have several options:
either withdraw, or increase military aid so as to break the current situation,
or pressure the Kremlin in other ways (e.g. economic) to end the war.
Knowing Trump, this type of escalation and attempt to exert pressure
is unlikely to persuade him to withdraw.
