Saudi Arabia has begun negotiations to join the BRICS New Development Bank.

The country may become the ninth member of the bank, according to the Financial Times.
“In the Middle East, we attach great importance to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and are now engaged in a competent dialogue with it,” the financial institution said.

At the moment there are 8 countries in the BRICS bank. The authorized capital is 100 billion dollars. The purpose of the organization is to finance projects of the BRICS and developing countries.

China plays the long game, they engage with other countries without strings attached knowing they will get preferential treatment in the future. Whereas US aid always comes with stings attached as well as the expectation the receiving country can also be blackmailed to do the US's dirty work if needed.

This disastrous strategy has got worse recently as America panics over losing hegemony and barely conceals it's duplicity in international dealings, fewer and fewer now see them as the 'good guys' anymore.

Hard to see change coming anytime soon especially with the Biden crime family in charge.

China is no better but perhaps the loss of the US hegemony gained after WW2 will force the US onto a better path in the multipolar world of the future.
