The FT newspaper continues to push the new peace narrative of Russia keeping the eastern territories and the rest of Ukraine joins NATO immediately.

Western counties think this is a brilliant idea and only 2 countries are saying no - Ukraine and Russia.

Zelensky says no because it would mean holding elections which would end his career as a dictator. Russia says no because Ukraine's neutrality and Russia's own security were two of the main reasons for the start of the conflict.

NATO intends to put pressure on Russia by agreeing to Ukraine long range strikes into Russia with western weapons at the Ramstein NATO meeting Oct 12th.

But just as the US would never allow Russian nuclear missiles in Cuba let alone Mexico, Russia will never allow NATO bases or weapons in Ukraine.

So Russia will just trundle on gobbling up more and more of Ukraine, Zelensky stays in power behind his US special forces and UK SAS bodyguards, the west keeps refusing to accept defeat, and the Ukrainians keep suffering with absolutely no hope of anything other than defeat.

Maybe NATO will send troops? - No. France just admitted it might be able to raise and send a force of 20,000 troops with equipment to Romania by sometime in 2027 - really.

And at Russia's current kill rate 20,000 would last just 10 days anyway.

Seems that both the monthly Ramstein NATO meeting Oct 12th and Zelensky's next peace conference in November have both just been cancelled.

Neither Biden nor Blinken are interested in flying to Germany to listen to the Zelensky 'victory plan' a second time.

Meanwhile European NATO members are desperate to convince themselves that the Russian economic and military collapse will happen in 2022 2023 2024 2025 2026 now, if they can just hang on.

Doesn't really need repeating but our leaders here in the west are complete morons. They have way over-invested in Ukraine and can't really afford financially to just write-off the loss. Better to keep pouring borrowed money in, keep watching Ukraine and the Ukrainians die, and hope something just turns up to save them (the EU, not Ukraine obviously).

Zelensky tours Europe in full panic mode after cancelation of NATO meeting.

Zelensky has realised there will be no more talks with US admin officials until January next year at the earliest, if ever. Also, September has seen a huge loss of land by Ukraine and they have nothing that can stop it continuing.

So Zelensky is now pushing his revised 'victory plan' to Euro leaders, he will give up land in exchange for immediate entry into NATO, but it's not going to work.

The US will not agree, but suppose they did, the expectation is that Putin would be so scared he would call for an immediate ceasefire, he won't.

Putin already knows it's a bluff and he's right. So Russia will continue forward regardless of any NATO decision and the Euro countries will then have to decide on a humiliating climbdown or to actually send troops which their populations will refuse to support.

Only being granted the land they have already taken and guarantees Ukraine will remain neutral, at a minimum, will satisfy the Russians at this point.

If you repeat a lie often enough will it become truth? There are 3 great propaganda lies about this conflict that many, including those in MSM, still cling to and repeat endlessly.

'Unprovoked attack' - except for the CIA backed coup replacing a democratically elected pro Russian govt with an unelected pro Western one in 2014. And the constant shelling of Russian speaking Ukr civilians in the Donbas. And the promise of NATO building nuclear missile silos on the Rus/Ukr border.

'Full scale invasion' - except that actual military experts all agree that Russia's 190,000 troops that crossed the border were never enough to take over Ukraine, that they would have needed at least 1.5 million.

'Unsustainable Russian losses' - except that analysists say that 80% of the casualties are caused by artillery and western media agrees Russia have had an average artillery advantage of 10:1. Yet Ukraine say that have have lost only 60,000 to Russia's 600,000. The math says it's the other way around.

But loads of pro-Ukr channels and accounts hang on to the fake narrative that Ukr are actually winning and Rus are on the verge of collapse. Some do it because they are paid too by the media corporations and others do it because they are just so heavily emotionally invested they can't see the truth standing in front of them.
