In war if you have a major advantage over your enemy you can go straight to manoeuvre type warfare (surround them, flank them, eg. US vs Iraq, Afgan). But with a near pair adversary you must engage in attrition warfare first until you have that advantage to then proceed to manoeuvre warfare. Russia are very near that point now.

Zelensky threatens a strike that will 'really hurt Russia and make them change their mind'. I would take that to mean he is threatening a strike on a nuclear power plant or maybe civilian targets (an attack on Rus infrastructure or a military target is not going to do much).

Reminder that though the artillery fire has stopped Ukr is still sending rockets into Donetsk city. One killed several in a market just a few days ago.

Having failed to take a Rus nuclear power plant Zelensky tries the mass attack on civilians approach. The sooner this guy is swing from a lamp post the better off the whole world will be, especially Ukrainians

Ukr has been destroyed by the combined efforts of NATO, Zelensky and the western Ukr Nazis. Since the CIA Maidan coup in 2014 Russia kept warning Ukr 'don't do this, it won't end well for you'. But NATO was determined to put military bases and nuclear missiles on the Russian border no matter what, something they would not have accepted themselves as proved by the 1960s Cuban crisis.

Zelensky now attacking civilian targets in Russia will only encourage Russia to roll onto the Dnipro river at which point it is over for the whole of Ukraine.

The Dnipro river is Ukraine's main artery which is why all of Ukraine's major cities are built on it's banks. With the Russian army on the east bank all those cities on the west bank will wither and die. The Ukraine economy can never recover without them.
