The dual narrative has existed for a long time. To some extent,
it reflects the sympathies and interests of observers, as something
like 'objective truth' is as usual difficult to grasp...
The propaganda narratives, bait and switch weekly, let's see how long we can keep this scam going;
Russia is weak, taxpayers must spend billions on Ukraine.
Russia is strong, taxpayers must spend billions on NATO.

Massive drone and missile strikes on Kiev and other Ukrainian cities continued again last night and with minimal air defence observed. Lots of video footage, especially considering if caught the posters of such videos are guaranteed a one way ticket to the front.
Drones, missiles, and now FAB glide bombs used on Kharkov city for the first time.
Reminder that it has always been Zelensky's play book to keep escalating the conflict whenever possible hence his attacks last week. But it's in the deluded hope that NATO will eventually send troops to save him.
Putin is always happy to reciprocate any escalation, for a very good reason.
What escapes Zelensky is the reality that NATO is in no position to come to his rescue and never will be.
As has been pointed out again and again, western European countries (and the US though to a lesser degree) have spent the last 20 years decreasing their military to the point now where it's just a hollow shell.
So now NATO can only raise 50,000 immediately and 100,000 in 6 months though of course they will have no equipment because it's all already been destroyed in Ukraine.
For NATO to raise and equip an army of 1 million to match the Russian army will take 7-10 years, but by then the Russian army will number 5 million if they see any NATO build up.
Isn't it odd that NATO's Rutte and all the politicians and all the retired generals on TV won't tell you that?
On the battlefronts the Ukrainians have concerns that there are not enough troops to defend Sumy and region around after some of their forces were moved south to aid the defence of Kramatorsk in the Donbas which is close now to being surrounded on 3 sides.
Also, Russia is looking at attacking Kherson city further to the west and which has also been stripped of troops to send to Donbas. The giveaway to an impending attack is the Russian targeting of Ukrainian drone operation headquarters in the the city.
And reports that the Russians are indeed now considering taking all the territory up to the Dnieper river, that's everything on the left bank, from Kiev in the north east to Kherson in the south west.

The US have finally realised they've made a massive mistake allowing Zelensky to drone attack the Russian bombers that are part of their strategic nuclear capability.
Reminder that as part of the START treaty between the US and Russia these bombers, Russian and US alike, must be left parked in the open and observable by satellite.
That START treaty is soon up for renewal and is realised, belatedly, to be very important to the US, especially as they have fallen behind the Russians in the missile technology that these types of bombers carry.
Also, the reality is that the drone attack by Ukraine was really nothing more than another PR stunt and instead of the 40 plus planes destroyed claimed by Ukraine the figure is actually less than 5 and some of those were non-serviceable junkers left out for the US satellites to check off.
The NYT reports Trump has made moves to calm down Lyndsey Graham and his sanctions bill to impose 500% tariffs on China and India for buying Russian oil.
These are the hallowed 'bone crunching' sanctions to bring the Russian economy to it's knees. China and India have already told the US to FO, China has already seen off 1 500% tariff threat and really is not going to buckle to this BS.
More on the body exchange proposed by Russia at the Istanbul talks.
Russia say they have 6000 in cold storage, Russian news say they were all collected in the Kursk region.
Ukraine have refused the offer. The whole thing is extremely embarrassing to Zelensky and his stunning and brave Kursk PR stunt victory. Russian trucks went to the border to start the transfer but there was no one to meet them.

Zelensky doesn't want the return of 6000 bodies.
The US patriot air defence system can't even protect itself let alone Ukrainian cities.
Russia breaks through into the Dnepro oblast from Donesk.
Since the Ukraine attack on Russia's strategic bombers Trump has,
- stopped supply of air defence missiles to Ukraine,
- pushed back on Lyndsey Graham's anti-Russia sanctions bill,
- said no to Ukraine using German Taurus missiles.
Where is he going with this?
In the video below taken in Kiev on the 6th June shows 4 Patriots air defence missiles fired off at an incoming Russian missile that moments later hits the Patriot battery destroying it.
Reminder that the 4 Patriot missiles will have to fall back to earth having missed their target, presumably onto civilian areas.
Note the difference in damage done by a big hypersonic missile able to level an entire factory verses the damage done by the much smaller air defence missiles that only damage a section of frontage of an apartment block when they fall back to earth.
Zelensky has complained that 20,000 air defence missiles promised to Ukraine were diverted to Israel (see previous posts) and now Ukraine has run out.
Reuters report western intel as saying that the Russian missile and drone offensive against Ukraine cities is not over yet and that Russia is about to test brand new short and medium range missile types on Ukraine in the very near future.
On the 6000 bodies to be returned to Ukraine:
This whole debacle is a huge PR disaster for Ukraine.
The last thing they wanted to admit to are the huge losses they suffered in Kursk and being forced to leave the bodies behind.
And the 2nd last thing they wanted to face are the huge payouts to the families.
So the solution for the Ukrainians is to just ignore the whole thing (don't worry, western msm has your back).
RT Writes "Under Ukrainian law, each family of a soldier killed in action is entitled to
15 million Ukrainian hryvnias ($360,000)
Accepting all 6,000 bodies would trigger a 90 billion UAH in mandatory payouts - nearly 10% of the nation's entire 2025 defence budget.
This budget is already facing a 200-billion UAH deficit." (2.16 Billion USD)
Ukrainian response:
"We call on the Russian side to stop playing dirty games," it added.
Ukraine's Defence Ministry said Russia was creating "artificial obstacles" and making
"false statements" to obstruct the exchange of living prisoners, reneging on what had been
agreed in Istanbul.
"The Ukrainian side has faced yet another attempt to renege on the agreements after the
fact," the ministry said.
(so Ukraine basically complaining the Russians want to hand over the bodies, as well as those in the live prisoner exchange, and that's not what Ukraine agreed to and is 'dirty games' so the Ukrainians just didn't turn up)
Russia response;
On Saturday evening. Yevgeny Balitsky, the Russian-appointed governor of the occupied
parts of Ukraine's Zaporizhhia region, said that Moscow would publish the names of the
Ukrainian soldiers whose bodies were reportedly supposed to be returned that day.
In a post on Telegram, Balitsky accused Kiev of not carrying out what it had agreed to do.
"What is there to discuss if Ukraine refuses to accept the bodies of it's dead, the agreement about which was reached during the second stage of negotiations" he asked
Andrey Klimov, deputy chair of Russia's Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs,
alleged that Ukraine did not accept the bodies at the exchange point so it would not have
to "acknowledge the extent of its losses," Russian state media TASS reported.
And Russia breaks through into the Dnepro oblast from Donesk. Admittedly this is in a small section along the very jagged frontline and is actually a surrounding manoeuvre on a small village on the border.
But importantly Dnepro is not one of the 4 oblasts Russia is claiming but will certainly be needing if Russia does now intend push through to the Dnepro river, as mentioned in previous posts.

Another 40,000 Ukrainian bodies ready to be handed back, Politico reports.
Russia announced after Ukrainian's intel chief Budanov admitted Ukraine would have to accept the 6,000 they refused to accept earlier.
So much for Zelensky's assurances that Ukraine had only lost 46,000 in the conflict in total.
Added to the 6,000 already known, the payout to families will total over $15 billion, which Ukraine doesn't have, obviously.
This is going to have major consequences for Ukrainian army commanders who have presumably been happily drawing the pay of many unreported dead soldiers.
And expect civil unrest when the huge figures are revealed to the Ukrainian people and that there is no money to pay the compensation either.
The sustained uptick in drone and missile attacks on Ukraine continues for the 5th night in a row. 500 drones and missiles striking multiple Ukrainian cities again.
Once again Zelensky has got a response escalation following his own escalation the previous week, but once again the US refused to come to the rescue and so Ukraine speeds up it's own decent into defeat.
Trump himself admits defeat, 'boys will be boys' and that there's nothing the US can do (absolutely no leverage on Russia whatsoever).
Ukrainian air defence is exhausted, minimal air defence missiles left even for Kiev so the city of Kharkov and other Ukrainian cities are completely open to missile attack.
Meanwhile the Ukrainian city of Sumy is being approached by Russian ground forces, Sumy is on the road to Kiev.
None of those 3 cities (Kiev, Kharkov, Sumy) are in oblasts previously on the Russian SMO list to be occupied but they may well be now.
Zelensky finding out that escalation is a double edged sword.
But Zelensky's delusion still trumps reality, he still expects NATO to send troops if only he can find the *right escalation, and, as he said in a recent interview, he still thinks Ukraine will win.
Expectations now that Russia will upgrade the SMO to an anti-terrorist operation. This will give Russian forces greater freedom to act not just in Ukraine but also domestically.
This is to counter those within Russia acting for Ukraine such as those involved in the drone attack on the Russian bombers and train attacks.
It will also allow Russia to go after the heads of the Ukrainian forces and regime leaders directly, just as the Ukrainian intel agencies have been assassinating Russians and Ukrainians in Russia.
EU/UK forced to change the narrative, the conflict is no longer about the defeat of Russia but is now about preventing Ukraine's defeat, Ukraine has western values after all (haha).
The snag being there's absolutely nothing the EU/UK can do to prevent Ukraine's defeat.
There seems no doubt now that diplomacy is over. The Russians are saying that they were always up for it but Ukraine's stance was always that Russia must give up all it's advantages before the Ukrainians would even consider talks.
Presumably the Ukrainians thought the EU/UK/US could make that happen, but they couldn't.
The Russians are now saying that as the Ukrainians have turned full on terrorists the time for talking is over.
Some commentators suggesting now that the Russian summer offensive is about a general, overall upscaling of attacks on land and air across the entire battlelfronts rather than any single big arrow manoeuvres.
They're saying that the recent persistent Russian increase in drone/missile attacks may well have been planned a month ago, well before the recent Ukrainian attacks.
Reports of continued desertions from the Ukrainian army, 91,000 in the last 5 months and so a total of 200,000 over the last year.
This is inevitable when your main means of recruitment is just snatching men off the street.
The Ukraine regime is running on pure PR and narrative at this point, anyone who can't see a collapse coming is not paying attention.
Of course, if the regime wasn't so pathological and deluded they would have come to terms long ago and hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians would still be alive today.
