• Why is that? XT Prop Firms EA

I backtested an EA on MT5 : https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/ ... escription

when I select" every tick based on real ticks ", I got a losing backtest :

but when I choose "only ticks".
I got a good result :

the EA has a lot of positive reviews, so it's actually working live I think

so why the discrepancy with real tick backtest ? I don't understand. the broker is IC Markets, it's a good broker, not a scammer

ok so I did more digging, and I tried to backtest the EA on Roboforex using "every ticks based on history" and the EA is profitable there

so it seems that IC Markets makes working EA lose ? but for what purpose ? to pocket the profits??
this is weird

i'll test more brokers and get back to you all

EDIT : I just tested on TIckmill and it's losing
darn I may be onto something there...damn shitty brokers

or maybe that's Roboforex that manipulates the prices to make it look good. But then why the good reviews ?

Hello Jeff,

Just my point of view, but on MQL5 there's a lot of trash.

Look Bonnita, at the moment it's crashing and will wipe your account. ( 5000 $ for a fucking grid

)

Look all the supposedly AI experts advisors, they all fail when launching live.

And more, there's EAs that have been banned from the store, Trade GPT for exemple, and many others.

I will also investigate on the expert you talk, just to see.

after studying the EA i came to the conclusion that the EA is a tick scalper martingale that has been overfitted to main pairs.
which is why it fails on some brokers

Thanks Jeff you figured it out but it had me stumbled for a sec. I can see a lot of people getting sucked into this $599 EA
