I think the vast majority of traders still stick to MT4, though MT5 has probably gained more traction than before.

As a beginner trader using a demo account, I prefer the MT4 platform because it is simple to trade compared to other platforms and is mostly suitable for currency trading.

Have you tried MT5 at all?
It has been quite a while since last time I did that.

I've heard that Metatrader has a sunset for MT4 regarding how long they will continue supporting it. Not sure if that's true. Can someone confirm?

I've also heard that Metatrader is only licensing MT5 to new brokers; MT4 is no longer an option. Everyone needs to get on board with MT5 soon. It's much better anyway.

For me mt4 works well!

MT4 for me too, I have MT5 as well, but found I don't use any of the additional features
