I think there are already some VHF adaptive Adxm indicators by mladen (floating zero),so an possible upgrade required when needed or where experts think it suitable.
regards

First Averages versions
ADXm (vhf adaptive) averages filtered - floating zero
Adxm that can use averages for price filtering, double smoothing option, where as in some cases the difference in between regular and double smoothed filter is big, example with hull in picture, upper is regular, lower is smoothed, some experiments recommended.

Indicator is just a tool.

Use it only if it can benefit you. Leave it if you don't know how to use it optimally.

ADXm (vhf adaptive) averages filtered - floating zero 1.1

with new (36 averaging methods) set of averages,VHF adaptive version with floating level instead of fixed level used.

ADXm (vhf adaptive)
ADXm adaptive, but VHF (vertical horizontal filter) adaptive this time
Mladen : "some additional clarification about VHF as adapting method. It is good (no doubt) but only, and only in case when the prices, not some other indicator values, can be used for adapting. The nature of VHF does not work well when instead of using price itself some other value is used for adapting, so the VHF adapting should be limited, in my opinion, only to indicators that can use price as natural source for adapting and calculation This indicator falls in a category in which price is the source of data, so VHF adapting is suitable for it"

ADXm (vhf adaptive) floating zero zl
one more version of Adxm but this one is using correct zero lag (the only zero lag) for price filtering, instead of super smoother, the difference can be significant with same parameters in first picture.

ADXm (vhf adaptive) floating zero

(alerts and interpolation already included in all versions)
Here is a version in which not just adxm is adaptive but the floating zero level is adaptive too.
So,this is a kind of an extreme adaptive indicator.Adapting the zero level makes the level a kind of a an indicator too.
