Hi mr.tools , tq for letting me know.

I tried kvak's version of PFZ and the McGinley and it did work on his version. His version of PFZ was released almost the same time as yours. But anyway thank you very much Mr tools for this indi

Got a version to work, the version of McGinley I have is using a different calculation, so found another version which is calculating similar (i guess) to the version Kvak is using and calling it McGinley2, the McGinley still isn't working but the McGinley2 does work, sort of. Top version is Kvak's and mine in 2nd sub-window.

TransparentTrader wrote: Thu Feb 02, 2023 12:37 pm No worries kvak. If you can include eAverages, great. If not, that's ok too. Thank you for your continued efforts!

But just so I understand, what is the difference between eAverages and mrtools' moving averages pack? I don't see a dedicated thread or post explaining how the two are different.
In theory and what i want to achieve there shouldn't be any difference....but in some averages there are some differences....I'm constantly trying to improve it....

Great idea.. It will be great if we can have a dedicated thread to keep track of Kvak eAverages pack and MrTools averages pack

Fyi, both packs are just awesome. I can't pick one the other. Usually I'll select one Indi from Kvak, another one from Mrtools to run through backtesting

AFL Winner (2023 re-code)

This oscillator is rewritten from AmiBroker Formula Language (AFL) and think Mladen cleaned the code quite a while back, I just made it to be compatible with the new mt4 and added all the averages. Just for information not all the averages are working with this formula. Also attaching the original AmiBroker code.

It's intended for intraday trading (timeframes below the Daily chart) as a reversal indicator, similar to the display of a Stochastic but using a different formula.

The original code uses a:

  • Average type: Linear Weighted Moving Average (LWMA)
  • Stochastic period of: 10
  • Average period of: 5

Thank you for reviving this code Mrtools & making the MA Filters compatible. This is one of the old school indicators which was very desirable back in the day.

Here's a chart from 2007 from AmiBroker using the "Winner" to trade the YPF Argentine energy company. Look at those colors 😋
