Hi all,
In basic statistics there are mean, median, mode and range. In forex indicators there are moving averages that calculate mean and standar deviation that calculate range for a series of dataset. I wonder is there indicator that calculate mode, the value that occurs most often, for a series of dataset? Like moving mode indicator maybe?

4825Dear MrTools ,
Is it possible for you to convert the attached indicators into mql4?
Thanks in advance.

ps) The other first thought it was the regular filter but was wrong it's a sort of adaptive filter with a lot of code to make it hard to adapt it to mt4.

Speaking of the Smoothed momentum indi x3 (apologies, as I don't have the MQL file), could I please request a couple of features for the attached?
1) Colours of the main lines based on Slope
2) Vertical lines (green for cross up, red for cross down) within the indicator window (not on chart) when one of the Smoothed momentum main lines (doesn't matter which one) crosses the Zero Line. I've attached a sample photo below

It will be amazing if you could make these happen
Thanks in advance!

I think x3 version alerting on every instance crossing zero (default parameters) but dont know what exact you looking for
Thanks Zelias, that you share my request of 3 weeks ago. Mntiwana, thanks for the first responses to my idea. Yes, the attached smoothed momentum alerts on zero crosses. But the exclusively on forex-station developed strategy evolved and a better way of trading with it, is, when two or three smoothed momentum lines together are heading up or down ( changing directions, I described it as slope change). Maybe you can post it as mq4 as mladen did?friend4you wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 3:34 am They are all versions of the same. I cannot see, what may be unclear. The floating level version is most similiar to my request.
"Is it possible to get an alert with wav-file, that can be chosen, when one, two or three lines (as option) change slope in the same direction."
May I ask again politely to get an alert, when as option 2 or 3 smoothed momentum (files got many downloads on my older post) are sloping up? It would benefit all strategies to trade only, when strength comes into market?

Can you please, when you have time and if it is possible, to add arrows when it goes above/below level 2 and and alert would be nice too.
Thank you.

Hi Mntiwana,
Do you perhaps have the mq4 file for EMAVFS channel. I would like to make changes to it, like adding another small channel around the yellow MA. I think that would help detecting when EMAVFS bands cross within these new channels for ranging markets, and again cross outside the new channels for breakouts. It just the idea that I want to experiment - if you don't mind sharing the code. I am making a request taking into the considerations the rules of the forum, so I will understand if the code cannot be shared.
Thank you.
Are there any new versions as three persons requested after I found and posted the link to the mq4-code, after mrtools asked for it?friend4you wrote: Fri Nov 16, 2018 12:57 am
Here is the mq5 ! open file:

Mntiwanas posted txt-file is not a translation of my posted pdf. It's only:
Exponential moving average with variable smoothing factor
A channel with a non-smooth and stationary approximation error, in which the exponential moving average with a variable smoothing factor is used as the center line.
This indicator is compiled not only as an MQL5 indicator, but also as a MQL4 indicator, for which you should change the extension of the indicator code to mq4, place the code in <terminal_data_folder_MetaTrader4> \ MQL4 \ Indicators and compile it with the appropriate code editor.
