MOSCOW, Oct 10 (Reuters) - A spokesperson for Russian energy giant Gazprom (GAZP.MM) said on Monday that a mine destroyer discovered at the Nord Stream 1 offshore gas pipeline in 2015 belonged to NATO.

Nord Stream reported on that date in 2015 that a "munitions object" had been cleared by the Swedish armed forces, without giving more detail on the object.

Gazprom spokesperson Sergei Kupriyanov told Russian state television on Monday that a NATO device, called a SeaFox, was retrieved from a depth of around 40 metres (125 feet) and made safe.

The main cause of high gasoline prices is the restriction of oil production and refinery capacity, and yet many politicians gaslight the public into thinking it's due to the greed of gas station owners and oil refiners. Why do they get away with it?


''The underlying problem is that California has reduced the capacity of its oil refineries as part of its push to phase out internal combustion engines. “California policymakers have knowingly adopted policies with the expressed intent of eliminating the refinery sector,” wrote the vice president of California refinery, Valero, in a letter [pdf] to the California Energy Commission.''

This is correct, as winter pressed and power outages ensued the German people would have demanded Nordstream 2 be turn on, the US made sure that couldn't happen.
