For linux users wanting to create a bootable RamDive or just run a temporary RamDrive
Add a 4gb RamDrive to Boot up on your pc
You only need to do this once)
Open Terminal (ctrl+alt+t)
sudo nano /etc/fstab
(Scroll down 12 lines)
add entry
myramdrive /tmp/RamDrive tmpfs defaults,size=4G,x-gvfs-show 0 0
(You can replace the number 4 with amount of ram space that you want i.e. 1,2,3gb…)
Now save (ctrl+x)
Reboot your pc and you have a RamDrive (just copy MT4 folder over and run)
or
Create a temporary RamDrive
(You need to type this every time you boot up your pc)
Open Terminal (ctrl+alt+t)
sudo -s
sudo mkdir /tmp/RamDrive; chmod 777 /tmp/RamDisk
sudo mount -t tmpfs -o size=4G tmpfs /tmp/RamDisk/
(replace the number 4 with amount of ram space that you want i.e. 1,2,3…)
exit Terminal
No need to Reboot as you now have a RamDrive (just copy MT4 folder over and run)
Enjoy
