Re: ESMA CFD limit/ cap & Binaries Ban
11I keep hoping that the final mandate - which won't be just a proposal anymore - won't be as draconian.
I doubt they'd be making any decisions until the new members have settled.bonifaas_abe wrote: Fri May 25, 2018 4:55 pm ESMA has appointed one new member to its Management Board to replace an outgoing member, and reappointed two current members, but still nothing on the info that every retail trader in EU is highly interested
As per the MiFIR, ESMA can only introduce temporary three-month measures, but before the period expires, the regulator will review the results and will consider a further extension for another three months. I.e. the ban can become permanent even though they'd be issuing it about every three months.bonifaas_abe wrote: Thu Jun 07, 2018 8:33 pm Thanks a lot mlawson71 !
“…will remain in force for three months from the date of application…” – what is the exact meaning of that?!
So if I want to stay positive , I will be thinking that in three months , ESMA might take the decision to renounce and to drop off those measures, right?mlawson71 wrote: Sat Jun 09, 2018 12:35 am
