Hello coders and traders,

I'm looking for a momentum indicator which is available in MT4 but slightly modified one. I have checked the forum but could not find the one I needed. if anyone has it then please share it and if no then please kindly make one. this is what I'm looking for in the indicator.

1. smoothing option
2. MTF
3. alert (on closing a bar) and arrow on crossing 100 level. would be good to have change of line color too as a bonus.

Smoother Momentum indicator

Have this smoothed momentum, would this work for you?

thanks very much! appreciate it much. this is yeah what I was looking for but whenever u get some time please can u add mtf and alerts (when crossing zero line after bar is closed) and also arrows on the chart.

just a question please brother...
logically thinking (at least this is what I think so) if as an example I take SMA with period of 12 and run it on H1 chart then if I want to see the same SMA what it is doing on H4 then I may just multiple 12*4 (to get readings of 4 hours) and input the outcome (48 period) into SMA and see the reading on H1. will it give me the readings of H4 on H1 chart? wouldnt it be same as having SMA 12 MTF and set on H4 and view H1 chart? if it is the same thing then dont bother spenidng time on MTF for momentum indicator. just other stuff only.

What is the Directional Smoothed Momentum?

This technical indicator employs a calculation method based on deviation, distinguishing it from the conventional (MoM) Momentum calculation. The Momentum is determined by summing the absolute differences between the current price and the price from one period prior, which is then compared to the ratio of the current price to the price from several (N) periods ago.

In this version of the Momentum the indicator is now capable of utilizing filtered prices for its calculations. This adjustment significantly reduces the number of signals, including false signals, when the slope of momentum is employed for decision-making. As explained by Mladen, the resulting lag is deemed acceptable, as it can be readily verified by comparing this version with the built-in Momentum indicator using the same time period.

Smoother Momentum indicator with Multi-timeframe + Alerts & Arrows

Added mtf, alerts, and arrows on zero cross. As far as your question can do mtf that way but for me usually the values are different.

Will you please make this momentum indicator as picture below?.
14 momentum cross 10 MA (better all averages) .momentum line crosses MA color change and another option is MA color change on 100 level cross.
it will also better if candle color change as MA color change.

Momentum Variation (MOM crossing MA with color change on Momentum line cross)

Hello.
I made this, Momentum is shifted by -100, then your cross level is 0.
Indicator have also velocity, smoother momentum to choose.
Try it...
