Dear mrtools,

I'm sorry, I would like to correct my previous post regarding the TDI - smoothed (mtf + alerts + arrows + divergence).ex4.
After closer analysis and further testing, I realized that my initial impression that the indicator repainted was merely an optical illusion.

The indicator does not repaint!
I sincerely apologize for any confusion my earlier post may have caused.

Here's an indicator showing the spot where the tdi (based on rsi) rolls over the slower lines (green over red and gold).

That's a unique TDI signal indicator you've shared. I haven't come across this standalone code before but it's very handy for identifying entries.

Using this TDI template I'm testing out your indicator and it seems that it will only signal when the TDI Green crosses the signal line above or below the Market Baseline's middle line too. Is that correct?

Replying: for clarity there's
green line the "price line"
red line, the "signal line"
gold line, the "market base line or MBL"

The signal pops up when the green line crosses the last of the either of the two lines. So yes it needs to cross the MBL as well as the red to print.

The code is based on RSI(13) so if your template is using another period other than that, it might not align... which means changing the period with the editor to suit.

I like the sound of those conditions, clever! Thanks a lot for posting it and welcome to the site. You got any more neat indicators up your sleeve? 👍

Here's an extension to the indicator already posted. Both indicators need to be in the Indicator folder to make it work. I've added both files at the Dashboards section (link below), but will discuss here how it can work as a TDI tool.

RSI and TDI Dashboard indicator

You can add your own pairs or make it smaller etc. Turn on the alert and it will pop up on the screen when there is a change. The good part about this is you see SUPPORT from a higher timeframe signal. That way the signals are filtered with more confirmation. Here's an example. On H1. I've put vertical lines from the signal to the last dot (Thank you very much Kvak! would not have got this far without your effort). So the area between the lines is supporting lower time frame signals. Here's an example. On H1. Examples here on M15 (I'm more a scalper/day trader). Every trader has the knack of working out the rules for themselves. You can see the signals filtered like this offer a half decent trade opportunity (dot, cross, stoch plus higher timeframe). Same for M5 (with M15 and even with better H1 supporting also) to filter out/select the entry opportunities. Examples here on M15 (I'm more a scalper/day trader). TDI Conditional Signaling Histogram (Only when TDI has crossed the Signal Line and above the MBL)

I've converted the RSCross indicator in a previous post into a histogram, (an idea I saw from Mr Tools). Makes sense and it's nice to view. MTF with choice of timeframes. <br /><br />You need to use zero.ex4 indicator to place it into the chart, otherwise it can go over some other indicator. <br />Often when there's ambiguity it's the higher timeframe that helps to work out which way price is ultimately going.<br /><br />In the picture above, you can see how the indicator showing M15, H1 and H4. There are two yellow squiggles, one showing higher timeframe support and the other not so... and you can see which one is the stronger to trade.

This is scalping format on the M1. Note how the timeframes worked together and a beautiful momentum took place. No doubt other traders will find other suitable patterns.<br /><br />When the planets align YEAH. This is scalping format on the M1.
