4H is clearly up as the template shows. So for a short you have to switch to a lower tf for a decent short setup.

H4: It is - in a manner of speaking - but if you draw a trendline touching the last highs you find that there is a series of lower highs.
(One could even venture to say that the last lower low took out the lower low before it - just about.
That's one reason why I don't think this really is an SHS-formation - which doesn't mean it won't go down.
But it could also break out to the upside.
Time will tell.)

To be clear: for a short we want first a clear impulse down, followed by a retrace, then we enter after trendline break. For a long vice versa. This is what I am doing here.

Have been quite erratic in trading GBPCAD.... The moves are largely out of proportion but still keeping the head clear gives opportunity to gather some pips...
