The Belize regulator is cleaning house, delicenses 40 brokers, including FinPro Trading

The International Financial Services Commission of Belize (the “IFSC”) warned the public Finpro Trading, BlueMax Capital, Fort Financial Services, NPBFX, Salma Markets, Top4FX, IFA FX, ZB Forex and 40 more companies have not renewed their forex broker licenses. Therefore, those companies are not authorized to provide, carry on, or transact any of the international financial services provided for in the law of Belize as of February 1, 2019.

Here is the complete list of entities are no longer licensed by the International Financial Services Commission of Belize (arranged in alphabetical order).

Wow, 48 licenses at once is a lot. Finally, they swept through their dusty basement. I wonder what happened that this paradigm shift came?

Something big, I imagine. They're cleaning house before it becomes public knowledge probably.

Oh, it seems that there would be less offshore brokers...
At the same time, this process is predictable. The Forex becomes more and more regulated, and it is good for retail traders.

Sadly, I have little doubt that many of these companies will find another port, pun intended.
Belize was actually one of the more reputable, if I can use that word for an offshore zone, locations as it had capital requirement of $500,000 to give a broker license. Vanuatu, in comparison, expects only $2,000 investment in a company.
