I believe phase ranges from -100 to 100 (slow to fast) effecting the JMA speed.
Step size provides a threshold for a change to happen thus filtering signals.
As for MTF & alerts, they will be added.

This version has MTF & alerts.

Here's a different take(adaptive method) on an already existing indicator. Results look so good at some places that it starts to give impression of an improvement although still far away from that. Image shows the comparison(between old(orange,aqua) & new(red,green) version) at default settings...

I may be wrong but I think the alert cannot be turned off - it's always on regardless of true or false. Another improvement could be: when the histo bars get shorter (i. e. slope direction changes from current trend direction) bars could get thinner (or lighter in colour) and indicate a) pullback, ...

Here is a version with the Swingline and Corr.FEMA (9 weighted, Dev.1). Coloured Candles from the Swingline. Seems to work pretty well together.
