Don't want to repeat myself, but this is the best trend following box-style indicator I found in my decades long journey. It's like dynamic range bars, is able to completely ignore many zigzags and can thus be more reliable in stop&reverse strategies. The consecutive losses are painful, but with well tested settings for the instrument you know the chances of next successful trade increase with every loss as compared to something like MA-based indi (which can produce huge consecutive loss streaks when price oscillates in tight range). Any chance of converting it for mt5 in the future?

I’ve added presets for some currency pairs.
In this indicator, I’m not interested in reversal points — I think TDI on H4 handles that quite well. What I’m focused on are entries in the direction of trend continuation.
And this is where a compromise is needed. The timeframe (M5 or M15) is not the key factor here; the HMA period plays a much bigger role.
If the period is too long, the signal can be delayed and the entry may no longer be attractive.
If it’s made earlier, there will be too many signals.
Some of them can be filtered out using the filter I suggested earlier. Others can be filtered visually with a bit of market context and light analysis.
