They are useful in case they are recognized on time as they might help to show the market direction.Me personally, I do not trade them like "by book", but once they are confirmed, the short term trades in line with model direction is profitable

I would not see this is not possible, but it is really difficult to create such an auto educated or constantly upgraded (even manually) algorithm - due to constant market changes.
