Or bands. Is there a newer version of attached ATR bands (not just x pip bands as in normal averages indicator)?
Angel of T3 is good, but it filters many pullbacks, where entry would be best. Maybe with slower settings.
The indis here are newer and better than on other boards. Sideway filtering is an advanced topic, which mainly isn't a topic there.

I think, if prices are over the middle bands line tells me, the up strength is good and I tp at top of the wider bands, if middle bands don't go up. Many good strategies work this way, that you just trade, if price is over 2 emas for example.
Maybe an advanced rsi is also a good idea, but it should be used as help, not as a rule, so that you don't enter at top or only few times.

yes friend4you, you are right atr bands are very useful to find sideways market.
many mladens indicators are also useful for that.
it is nice discussion to find out which indicator helps to detect sideways market. as making profit in sideways market is difficult

Why is the indicator at botton called rsi ma, teamtrader, when it is a changed TDI with a faster RSX (blue red lines). Mrtools made an adaptive, smoothed version of Malones indicator for me here:
