Good morning,

I`m using a strategy optimizer, that searches through the different input values of the indicators for better chart results.
I have the indictor stepMA(+HA)arrows.ex5 used as one of the indicators in my strategy.
For some reason when I type the inputs, the system doesn't recognize the values.

I managed to hard code the inputs of the other indicators that I use in my strategy (that presented the same error within the optimizer) because I had the mql source codes, but I can`t seem to find the source code for this indicator

Is it possible to help me? find it? or maybe point me to the person who's the originator of the source code? I'm happy to make a contribution if required.
Or tell me that the mql is not available, either way appreciate the time.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Alex

Hi Alex and welcome!

Why don't you try, as your first post, to describe in details your strategy so stimulate a mindful discussion, instead of immediately asking for support?

Trust me, if you start giving, here everyone will be more than glad to help.

I am really looking to port something exactly like the Heiken Ashi Smoothed with Jurik to MT5, but naturally have no code. Would you be so kind to convert it when you have time. I know it's an old one but have an idea that am testing on MT4 and works well.

Have a lovely weekend!

Good evening, and thank you for your involvement. I wasn't sure how keen individuals were to discuss about systems and strategies, especially with a lot of users being more advanced than me.

For building the strategy, back testing and optimization I use an MT5 software called: Strategy Builder plus Optimizer by RunwiseFX MT5.
I use the optimization for the indicators inputs only, all trade execution is manual.

The strategy is based on multi time frame analysis, combining structure, momentum and various points of interest and the well know Synergy System on lower time frame combined with the StepMa indicator. (Hence why the adaption to M5 and not the standard M15)
H4 - main bias, main structure, ranges and point of interests
H1 - second bias and direction (3no types of candles, HA, APB and WAE)
M15 - second bias and direction confirmation (3no types of candles, HA, APB and WAE)
M5 - execution time frame within the specific time slots when the volatility is at maximum, using the candle close above the price channel, followed by the StemMA dot as signal and validating the entry via the BidxAsk Foot print chart (mainly imbalances or delta shifts at direction change or POI`s)

I use the system only for trading: XAUUSD, USDJPY and WTIUSD.

Doesn't generate many trades, maybe 1 a day, but mostly will be 50+ pips, with a SL at recent Low/high, looking at 1:1.5 - 1:2. Didn't push past that as probably I can gain more, but my target is around 30 to 60 pips a day =/-.

As a final note, the indicator inputs are used to visualize the most reactive combination of parameters for making the candles as reactive as possible to the price movement. Also it helps with the risk management strategies, as in SL and TP. Simplifies a lot of manual back testing and forward testing.

A screenshot for reference:

The inputs are based on different time frames. Can I kindly ask if you can hardcode the below set files.

Thank you.
