Greetings!

Do the benefits of using MT5 (mainly for me; more time frames, improved charting) out way the fact that most sophisticated indicators (that ive seen on this forum) are till now only available for MT4? Basically; should someone who mainly benefits from improved indicators switch back to MT4 since the availability of said indicators out way any improvements that MT5 can give me(market depth, more timeframes, a little better charting)?

pat............... welcome here................... traders still using mt4 & will be for some time longer & mladen has been posting mt5 stuff for some times now on mq5 site.................... but for now mt4 seem is more flexible in terms of finding what u need............ mt5 is nice but i just love mt4 cos its simple, i have so many studies in mt4 plus it JUST works great

MT4

MT5 is definitely much better. Better execution of trades, more indicators, much more efficient EA tests ... in short, MT5 is a nice evolution of MT4. However, I remained at my good old MT4. When we have known him for years, it is difficult to part with him. And then I code everything on MT4.

I think, MT4 platform is the best not only for beginners, but for experienced traders too.

I think, in terms of indicators, MT5 is better for beginners.

MT5 is better because it is the advanced version of MT4. It has additional trading features as compared to MT4. It has more timeframes and more indicators than MT4. I believe beginners should start with the advanced version.
