I think he just wanted to show that the mrtools avgs ribbon indicator works well with his setup and that everyone should try it out.

Although I would have liked him to share more about how and why he decided to enter based on what seems to be a confident fundamental analysis via some important level combined with his familiar core indicators, even incorporating some great indicators from this forum.
Like the trade at the major low in the image above, I find it quite risky to hold the trade all the way through, in another scenario he might have executed more accurately if he waited a bit longer and entered the trade at the next major high when his indicators seemed to support it (even with the repaint).

Step VHF (Vertical Horizontal Filter) Adaptive VMA (Variable Moving Average) with ADX Filter

I have slightly modified the Step Vhf with adaptive Vma. I have added a Ehlers 3 pole Super smoother line and ADX strength to filter the signals for more pro trend entries. Seems to work fine. If anyone can add the optional 40+ custom MA for the signal filter and a MTF functions that would be awesome addition to this.

I believe you are right yes, he trades the NFP successfully every single month and seems to really understand fundamentals which is why these types of posts with only a chart and indicator list makes me confused.

Not very long maybe 3 months in, I use chatgpt, claude with VS code to help me. Still learning.

if bullish: use High.
If bearish: use Low.
So for a strong up bar, you don’t feed the filter “close”, You feed it the actual high. That pulls your adaptive MA or whatever you’re smoothing more in the direction of the trend.
Feeding it an extreme trend-biased price makes the line hug the active side of the market faster. That can make lines flip sooner in real moves.
