Hi, it's better to think of demo as a test bench, a place where you can learn how to use the platform and forward test trading strategies.

So devise a strategy and backtest it, if ok then forward test it on demo, if still ok then test on a live account with minimal position size.

You can't learn to be a trader on demo because there is never any real risk or consequence and learning about both and how to control both is essential.

Spend too long on demo and you will more likely learn bad habits rather than good ones.

Indeed. But a huge difference can be observed when one trades with real money, that is the time emotions start intervening and challenges begin.

Very true. Emotions runs when you are starting to doubt yourself and losing the trust in yourself.

It’s the same if considered theoretically but, many interim factors that play a major role and differentiate it with real accounts are money and the psychology of trading. You have to cope up with these both.

Demo account and real account both provide a real trading platform but the basic difference is that real account involves your own real money, while in a demo account, virtual money is traded.

Must be and if the trader exclude the emotions in real account it will be the same.
