would it be possible to explain how you use the 25 ema as confirmation and entry signal as your volatility indicator?

Thx.
D.
In the simplest explanation, i want to see price break above/below and maintain continuation.

Thanks. Thats what I thought. Its like trading with bollinger bands and taking the middle 20 line as the "possible" setup for a trade.

I guess you could say that.

Sometimes i will also place a pair of BB @ 100 w/1 and 2 std devs.

Perfect example of the last two trades on WTI.

Using the rules and waiting for the 1H WT to cross over the 4h and daily WT.
Divergence formed then price broke above/below 25EMA + 200EMA.

FXSurf, questions for you:

Have you tried using or thought about using these EMA values: 32, 64, 96.

32x2 is 64 and 32x3 is 96.

These values measure the average of
- 8, 16, and 24 hours on the M15
- 1, 2.67 and 4 days on the H1
- 4, 10.67, and 16 days on the H4
- 24, 64, and 96 days on the D1

Mathematically, they seem more cohesive to use, so I was just wondering if you're using the values you are now due to mass psychology (more traders use them than the ones I mentioned), and/or they worked better in testing, etc.

In addition to these I use a 16, half the value of the 32 and about the fastest I like them.

I also use the NonLag MA for the responsiveness and slope color change, do you use EMAs for more solid crossovers?

You could use whatever ones you prefer. The sweet spot for me has been simplified using the 25 and 200 EMA on the daily and hourly.

Again im looking for a particular footprint or pattern that is occurring when price is setting up for a reversal. All three WT's at the top/bottom and and the hourly WT crossing over the 4H.

Thank you, FXSurf. So white EMA is 25 and orange is 200, right? But what about thick white MA?

Yes that is correct. The thicker White and Orange represent the Daily 25 and 200 EMA.
