That last picture mntiwana , do you remember what settings you had?
That looks really good, combine that Squeeze with maybe RSI and voila.

I think it was sma (method 0),price close (0),period 20 - usual bands

exp - bands new
An very fresh and extremely extended Mrtools version
2 in 1 - Asymmetric and classical bands
extended with 39 Averaging methods - 33 prices - dual sample standard deviation option - 3 bands with multiplier parameters select able option,what ever a user select from
almost a lot of combinations can be created,depends on users expertise and requirement

Man,you starting a big topic that is not possible in posts,it needs a separate thread
trend following and counter trend is same thing -

think when a trend is over and start counter trend,is not is a trend too but in opposite direction
as for recommendation - it is misleading kind thing as per my observation

usual 7 prices - deviation select able factor and smoothed period and smoothed phase option
