I think smoothness causes it,any kind of smoothness to any indicator causes it a bit or more lagging/delays compare to normal and usual formation but Mladen can better explain you.

This is a regular mtf bollinger band with the choice of the regular moving averages except the volume weighted moving average has been added. Also you have a choice of using the mt4 built in standard deviation or the custom deviation with or without sample correction. The ma is colored according to the slope and the indicator has options for alerts on ma slope change,outer bands cross, and or middle ma cross.  

This is the bollinger band squeeze, the squeeze is represented by the dots, green equals squeeze breakout red means the bollinger bands are inside the keltner channel generally representing a flat market. The color histogram is calculated using linear regression. Alerts are on squeeze breakout and or on all phases of the color change on the histogram.
