Forexlearner wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 6:17 am I have a couple of questions:

I can't get the Elliot Oscillator to look like yours, no idea what is going on, the settings seem to be the same 5/13

to have all those trades open at the same time you're using the Assistant or just the charts?

thanks. Sorry if you already answered these questions, I tried to find the answers by reading it all but I didn't, I either missed something or idk
This is how the EOW indicator is set :)

I use the charts but on my alert charts, I have a Breakeven EA running that will manage my trade i.e. move it to BE or slightly into profit once it reaches a certain number of pips. I have no other Trade Assistant running. It is very simple and extremely effective. However, most of the time I manage the trades myself with regard to exiting.

Here is the EA I use.

Samoth wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 6:26 am Hey Beatle, I am still impressed with how many pairs you are trading at the same time :D
What criteria do you use to look for good setups in the first place?
Do you only trade signals from the ATS Assistant? Or do you look at the semaphores first while looking at different charts?

I just want to understand your thought process
Hi Samoth,

My first criterion is to always analyze the chart on a higher timeframe to determine a bias i.e. H4 and D1. I then observe to see if any OB's or FVG's are close to or near the current price. Using the ATS I check to see where the price is in relation to the ATS framework i.e. contraction boxes and/or expansion lines (higher TF).

I then move down to the 15-minute and 30-minute charts as these are the TF's I would enter. I will then check the ATS framework again on the lower timeframe. If I then get a confluence signal from the other indicators in line with the ATS framework I would then enter the trade.

I have put together the system to make my decision-making process simple and streamlined. No need for a complicated approach. :D

:star: I look, I see, I trade :star:

The reason I have no issues or fear trading these number of assets is because I trade on the 15/30 min TF I have the time to manage my trades ;)

The ATS I have set up to give me signals but I will ALWAYS review them in the context of the other indicators. Most of the time I would have to wait before I would actually enter if at all. It is just a guide (for me).

Time to book some profits and take some meat off the bone - says Sensei Xard

Half closed and letting the rest run for now ;)

What are your trading rules?

One of my trading rules is to ALWAYS close 1 or 2 of my trades (if I have at least 3 running) once they hit 50pips. Book your profits and then let the rest run.

Build your confidence by taking good trades and booking profit.

This I learnt from Steve Mauro in his "Beat The Market Maker" course.

Regardless of average ranges of different pairs? Hmmh....
edit: so, you have me down as the nagging type?
Well, I am satisfied as long as you don't see me as the boasting kind...
(Because, as we discover on the train, tomorrow never happens, man, it's all the same fucking day, man...)

Okay, now you are just nit-picking. Any experienced trader knows that various pairs have different ranges. So, to appease your fault finding I should have rather written between 30-50 pips. Happy? :lolno:

Geez!
