Market Levels Edge — Institutional Levels + Confluence Score Overlay (MT5)
Hi everyone,
Closing out my mini-series of product intros with Market Levels Edge — the lightest and most affordable of the three, but one I use constantly myself as a context layer underneath whatever entry method I'm running.
What it actually is
This one isn't a signal generator. It doesn't plot Buy/Sell arrows and it's not trying to. It's a market-structure overlay: it plots the key levels that institutional and retail order flow actually tend to react to, and rolls them into a single confluence score so you don't have to eyeball five different lines and guess how much weight to give each one.
It's built to sit underneath your own strategy — whatever it is — not to replace it.
What it plots
- Previous Day High/Low (PDH/PDL) — yesterday's range, a level intraday traders constantly reference
- Previous Week High/Low (PWH/PWL) — same idea, weekly horizon, useful for swing context
- Session VWAP (Daily) — with standard-deviation bands, so you see not just where VWAP is but how far price has stretched from it
- Weekly VWAP — a slower-moving anchor for higher-timeframe bias
- Daily Open — the reference point a lot of intraday bias is built around
Everything resets correctly at day/week boundaries, so you're never looking at a stale or leftover level from the previous session.
The confluence score
This is the part that ties it together. Instead of leaving you to mentally juggle "price is above VWAP, near PDH, inside last week's range, and volume looks heavy" — Market Levels Edge scores all of that into two numbers: a Long score and a Short score, each out of 6, based on independent conditions like:
- Position relative to VWAP (and how many standard deviations away)
- Where price sits inside yesterday's range
- Where price sits inside last week's range
- Breakout state relative to PDH/PDL and PWH/PWL
- Accumulation/distribution read
- Position relative to weekly VWAP
A clean net score (Long score minus Short score) gives you a quick bias read at a glance, with configurable thresholds so you decide what counts as "strong enough" for your own context.
Dashboard
A compact on-chart panel shows all of this without needing to check the Data Window: VWAP bias with SD distance, yesterday's range position, last week's range position, momentum read, weekly VWAP bias, and the Long/Short/Net scores — color-coded so a quick glance tells you the story.
Who it's for
- Traders who already have an entry method and want a structural bias layer underneath it (order blocks, price action, other indicators — anything)
- Intraday and swing traders who reference PDH/PDL, VWAP, or weekly levels manually and want them calculated and scored automatically instead of drawn by hand every session
- Anyone tired of redrawing the same horizontal lines every morning
What it's not
This is a context tool, not a signal generator. If you're looking for an indicator that tells you when to enter and exit, this isn't it — Confluence Edge or WaveSniper (see my other threads) are built for that. Market Levels Edge is meant to run alongside them, or alongside your own discretionary process.
Technical specs
- Platform: MetaTrader 5
- Type: Standalone indicator, no external dependencies
- Timeframes: any (levels are calculated from actual daily/weekly session data, not the chart's timeframe)
- Symbols: any (forex, indices, metals, crypto CFDs — broker-dependent)
- Repainting: none — levels and VWAP are calculated progressively, never repainted
As always, happy to answer questions here — especially on how the VWAP SD bands or the score thresholds behave on different session types.
