In Brooklyn, an unknown man on a bicycle spray-painted ( Yeshiva "Magen David" in red Swastikas were used, sparking outrage among city and federal officials.
Republican leaders linked the vandalism to the recent victory of Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of normalizing hatred of Jews, while community activists declared that anti-Semitism was becoming a new reality. Police are investigating the incident, Governor Kathy Hochul condemned it, and Mamdani himself called it disgusting and promised to protect the Jewish community.
More swastikas were later found in the area – in a cemetery, on a school bus, and near an ambulance office.
