I'll explain my thinking process with EURJPY short trade from last night before I went to bed.

I went for 40 pips on M30.
R : R= 1:2
SL 20 pips
TP 40 pips
Daily uptrend
H4 uptrend
H1 downtrend
Consolidation.
Moved down to M30 intending to trade short with H1 trend and waited for a long UP bar for a signal to go short.

P.S.
As you can see, after my exit, trend changed to uptrend inline with the D1 and H4.
If trading a single pair, wait for the trend on all 3 TF's to line up. ( H1,H4,D1)
