Pink unicorns and fairy dust from western neocons:

Escalation dominance: Following Ukraine's attack on a power station at the Russian city of Belgarod a few days ago interrupting electric power to 40,000 homes Russia has launched attacks on 13 major power plants across Ukraine. The state has just announced emergency blackouts for the whole country.
This follows recent attacks destroying 60% of Ukraine's gas production.
'But now it seems a critical mass has been reached where a huge amount of objects are able to get through defences, giving Russia perhaps its first true opportunity of total dominion over Ukraine’s energy grid.'
Also of note is the Russian targeting of Ukraine's railway infrastructure.
'It is reported that in the last 3 weeks, 40 locomotive depots, power supply stations, and traction substations have been destroyed or damaged in Ukraine.
Trains are actively used to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, military trains are often mixed with passenger trains, which serve as a cover.'
Russia is taking advantage of the almost complete lack of air defences and the US blocking all patriot missile deliveries due to lack of inventory.
The Simplicius article goes on with an in depth analysis of the current frontline including reports that Russia has redeployed 4 brigades away from Pokrovsk to take advantage of holes in the Ukrainian frontline in Zaporizhzhia.
And from the western propaganda outlet Atlantic Council, they claim that Russia can't actually win this and there are 3 possible routes to Ukraine's survival.
The 3 are,
1) An extended war of attrition … err ok, how?
2) A 'fake' peace' (armistice like Korea) … err ok, how?
3) A ceasefire allowing European troops in so Russia won't restart, err, the threat of NATO into Ukraine is why the conflict got started, how's that supposed to end it?
Really, that's it. That's the best the neocons can come up with to drag this shit show down the road for another mile or 2, brilliant.
“No choice but to press on—and fast.”
“Ukrainians understand that their major front-line vulnerability lies not in themselves but in the uncertainty of US support and European capabilities.”
If left to their own devices Ukraine would have collapsed years ago which would have meant a loss but without the complete destruction of most of the country.
That's the price you pay for allowing yourself to be used as a proxy, the damage done gets totally out of proportion compared to being left alone.
