Indicator Overview – "FNC_TimedBreak"
FNC_TimedBreak is a FNC_DB signal indicator that detects breakout signals based on price movements outside a defined time-based range.
Core Functionality
Price Range Calculation
A price range is determined using the high and low between user-defined times (e.g. 00:00–12:00).
Breakout Signal Detection
After the range is set, breakout signals are evaluated during a separate, user-specified time window.
If price breaks above the range: Up arrow is shown.
If price breaks below the range: Down arrow is shown.
Two Signal Modes
Users can select from two breakout detection methods:
Break above/below range
Standard breakout detection. A "Break Margin Multiplier" parameter adds buffer room to reduce false signals.
Opposite signal at risk-reward target
After a breakout in one direction, if price extends by a user-defined multiple of the range, a reverse signal is shown (e.g. a down arrow after a strong upward move). This uses the Risk-Reward Multiplier.
Key Parameters
- Range Time Start / End
Time window for calculating the price range. - Signal Time Start / End
Time window during which breakout signals are monitored. - Break Margin Multiplier
Defines how much buffer is added to the breakout level, based on a multiple of the price range. - Risk-Reward Multiplier
Sets the target distance (e.g. 2.0 = 1:2) beyond which the opposite signal is triggered after a breakout.
