I've configured the Tools/Charts settings in MT4, setting the Max bars in history to 5000 and the Max bars in chart to 3500. For my indicators, I've now set the MaxBars to a default of 2500, and I’m not experiencing any lag issues so far. I’ll keep testing this setup throughout the week and will likely share an update over the weekend. I decided to use the EMA ribbon since it doesn’t recalculate (unlike the TMA ribbon). The EMA Histo functions similarly to the EMA Ribbon, which you can see in the 15-minute and 5-minute charts I’ve shown. Hopefully, this updated setup improves your intraday trading strategy!
