What is the Ehlers Optimum Elliptical Filter?
John Ehlers developed the Optimum Elliptical Filter as a smoothing instrument designed to maintain a lag of no more than one bar (one candlestick). An elliptic filter offers the highest level of smoothing while adhering to a specified lag constraint.
