Western propagandists say Russia converted to a war economy and is spending over 20% of GDP on defence. A NATO analysist on the Russian economy says the actual number is 7%.

Ukr defence spending is double their GDP.

No country using it's own finances could possibly do this, they would be forced to come to term long before, and thereby, saving what was left of their country.

But because of the huge influx of western cash Ukraine is able to limp along on this path to total self destruction.

Zelensky's former advisor Arestovych said months ago that there was no point in Ukr trying to reclaim the eastern oblasts because they could never repopulate them anyway.

The current Ukr population is half the near 40 mil pre-conflict, that, plus the collapse of the birth rate since 1990s and again since 2014 means a country the size of Ukr is not feasible with a population of just 20 mil mostly elderly and disabled and with a devastatingly low birth rate. The country will collapse into poverty and partitioning.
