Just a quick note about my experience with GPT-4o: I've worked with both ChatGPT-4 and GPT-4o for coding, and I have to admit, my early experiences were less than stellar. It often took countless iterations to get the code error-free, and even then, it frequently failed to work as intended. After days of frustrating trial and error, I would often throw in the towel.
But recently, something changed. When I gave GPT-4o its latest task, it was a revelation. To my utter amazement, it nailed the task on the first try. I was blown away by its speed and accuracy. Not only did it create expert-level code that worked flawlessly, but it also adapted to my specific needs with incredible ease. I had asked it to take inspiration from my existing VWAP indicator code, which includes a button style I'm familiar with and prefer. GPT-4o's ability to integrate and modify the code to suit my preferences was nothing short of impressive and it changed the code from expert to an on chart indicator.
In just two iterations, it managed to position the button to the right of my VWAP button and needed only one more tweak to get the auto-scroll feature working perfectly. That level of precision was truly extraordinary! All I had left to do was place the button at the top of the screen and resize it to fit my design.
Now, let’s talk about the magic behind this achievement. This project was a joint venture—a harmonious collaboration between human ingenuity and AI prowess. My years of coding experience blended seamlessly with GPT-4o's remarkable ability to understand and execute complex instructions. This synergy allowed us to create something truly impressive in record time (about 15 minutes). To be honest, I am a complete dummy when it comes to coding but I know my way around a how do you do this remark.
