The new indicator gives the same results as the old indicator except for the "adx vma" calculation
In my opinion the old adx vma calculation gives better results

You were right, found a bug in the adxvma, when you get a chance could you test this version, and also wasn't sure if the earlier version was using high/low in its calculation or open/close so in this version you can choose high/low or open/close price calculations. Apologize for the errors and hope this version is better.
