The Mesa Adaptive Moving Average (MAMA) by J. Ehlers is an adaptive exponential moving average & uses a Following Adaptive Moving Average (FAMA) as one of it's core values. This technical indicator moves in a staircase manner & not in a curved line like the MA & is less prone to whipsaws. Thanks to Mrtools a new smoothed & modernized code (of Mladen's "less-laggy" version) has been published which comes with added ribbon color fill, shadow, candlesticks & much more.
