Russian submarines are a problem for NATO.
The Newsweek edition clarifies that the Russian Federation is investing heavily in the creation of a high-tech submarine fleet. And NATO's ability to counter it "has atrophied since the end of the Cold War."
According to the representative of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, now the North Atlantic Alliance has to hard catch up.
In April, the forces of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation were tested. Strategic and multi-purpose nuclear submarines have been deployed in the Pacific Ocean, and this is a problem for NATO.
