This CCI indicator has multi uses.
Firstly and obviously it has a default setting as a CCI-233.
It shows histograms with stronger momentum, higher highs or lower lows in red, trending momentum in orange and divergence in blue - with sideways or change areas in DarkGray.
Secondly it can be used by those who use chart traps (trendlines) as a starting point where it crosses zero. Traps MUST have a standard starting point otherwise they can start at every top and bottom the trader ‘sees’ on the chart. See illustration with traps shown in thicker black.
Thirdly it shows a background colour of the indicator when it crosses zero in the next UPPER timeframe – very useful.
Fourthly it can show this same background colour ON THE CHART for when the indicator crosses zero in the next upper timeframe - but only on FX instruments – NOT on indices and stocks charts.
