Russia, mystery about coronavirus: few infections but a maxi hospital is being prepared


For now, Russia is an enigma. In fact, since the new coronavirus epidemic broke out, it has recorded only a few cases and has managed to avoid the draconian measures adopted by China and Europe. The fear, as always in these cases, is that the authorities hide the real data. On the one hand, there is the possibility that Moscow has been fast enough to introduce containment measures to the virus - checks on Chinese citizens starting from January 23, with subsequent total closure of the border, as well as on the entrances from the risky aircraft, including the Europe, from the end of February - and, on the other, different results on the tests due to a different two-phase procedure adopted by the Vektor laboratory in Novosibirsk. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has denied that the authorities are "hiding" the reality of the facts. The feeling is that the coronavirus wave is mounting. A hospital dedicated to the cases of Covid-19 is in fact being built on the outskirts of Moscow and, both in the capital and in other cities, the restrictive measures on gatherings and the attendance of schools are increasingly tightened.
