The British financial regulator Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a warning about a new clone company scamming people thinking they are working with its legitimate counterpart. The company in question is called Goldman Banc and it does have a proper license by the FCA.

The company is using the information and details of another, licensed by the FCA company, called GMB Portfolio Services Limited with a reference number 738159. According to the warning notice issued by the Financial Conduct Authority, the clone company is knowingly engaging in investment scams and people are warned not to do business with them.

This type of scam is fairly popular, unfortunately. The best way to avoid it is to double check the information any broker gives you to make sure it's true.
